About

Hi. I’m Kate. I’m a freelance writer living in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I don’t know what “freelance writer” means really, except that it sounds better than “lazy arse.”

I live with this guy Austin. He’s pretty cool, I’m glad I married him. You can read about our love story here: Part One, Part Two, Part Three & Part Four.

In October 2010 we made a baby even though the doctor said it would be a no-go. He was born in June and is slowly driving me insane. He also happens to be the best, most talented baby ever.

I know what you’re thinking, another Mommy Blog? Yeah, that’s right. Except I promise not to make you vote for me in weird contests and subject you to a million giveaways. I also promise not to sell you Avon products, Mary Kay, or crack. I think this is a pretty good deal.

Like every new parent, I have no idea what I’m doing. Past experience tells me that I’ll be learning things the hard way when it comes to parenting, but I’m okay with that. I’m so glad I have you to share these mishaps with. Thank you for following along with this motley mama and her daily quest not to screw things up.
