I wrote a whole blog post about my progress making a music video and how even though I got permission from the artist himself, I still haven’t done a single thing. I wrote about how it’s because I don’t have what I need or the energy to get what I need, mostly a paragraph of excuses. Then the whole thing got deleted because my Internet timed out and autosave failed to autosave. It was sad, but maybe a sign I needed a do-0ver.
Look, this thing’s not happening. Or at least, not happening how I envisioned it happening.
The last day of March is my birthday. As a present to myself, I’m giving myself a break. I’m reminded that I make a video every single month for a certain little bugger and that takes a lot of time. I’m reminded that this 2012 challenge is far from perfect and that at least I’m trying to do something. I’m reminded that March is not over and maybe I’ll just come up with something.
Anyways, thanks for cutting me a break.

Say more about this “internet timing out” thing. I’ve heard PhD students can put something on their computer that blocks their access to the internet to make themselves FocusFocusFocus. Is there a time limit mechanism where those of us who surf instead of do our tasks can set the internet to close after a certain amount of time? For example, right now I should be grocery shopping and I was like “Oh, I’ll just check Motley Mama before I sign off.” But if the internet just turns off, we shake to reality and don’t open it back up. Basically, asking the computer to save us from ourselves. Do you have an inside tip?
