Oscar Party 2012
I threw a little party for the Oscars this year.
It was fun, despite the baby pooping all over the floor and then both of us stepping in it, barefoot.
There were cupcakes, ballots, bingo, and beer. What more do you need?
If you care, best dressed goes to Gwyneth and most awesome goes to Tina Fey (but you knew that).

Recently Hosted
Earlier this week I hosted a few (great) friends for a few (short) days.
It was wonderful. We stayed up late giggling about boys and it made my soul happy.
Waylon was happy too, as one of the ladies was his size.
I miss them already.

Trailer for the movie Bully
Every week I read another headline about a child being bullied to the point of extremity and every week I promise myself I’ll stop reading the news. I watched this trailer yesterday with tears streaming down my face. I just kept shaking my head and looking over at Waylon who is still so innocent. I wanted to scream “THIS IS NOT OKAY!” because friends, this is not okay.
Recently The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) has sided with the MPAA in its decision to reject The Weinstein Company’s request to lower the rating of the film from an R to a PG-13 so it could be used as an educational aid. A petition posted to Change.org by a teenage victim of bullying calling for the MPAA to reverse its decision has racked up over 100,000 signatures since it was launched three days ago. I signed it, maybe you’ll sign too? [More info here]
