DIY: Children’s Book

This is not my idea.

A week before my baby shower, my parents came up with the idea to make a children’s book about Baby Baer searching for his mother. Mom had found a giant (semi creepy) stuffed bear in the trash and like most sane people, pulled it out. She then dressed it in one of Dad’s younger-looking shirts to make it look like a little kid, wrote prompts for a storyline, and started taking pictures of “baby bear” with various family members. Eventually these photos will be uploaded with text to a site like Snapfish and made into a book.

Here is a preview of some of the pictures to be included in the story:

This Do It Yourself project is perfect for even the most un-crafty person. All you need is a camera and an idea for a story. It will be fun for Baby Baer (and his parents) to look at these pictures during the bedtime story. Definitely something we will cherish.
