Sleep (For Alicia)

A few weeks ago I posted a TED talks about composer Eric Whitacre who leads virtual choirs of singers from around the world. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here.

In memory of Alicia and her deep love of singing and listening to choir music, here is a recording of Whitacre’s piece entitled “Sleep.” Though the piece is haunting, it is also a reassuring reminder that any emotional torment is now gone as she rests peacefully.

Thank you for your thoughts as the family continues to process this difficult parting.

Kate, I am so sorry. What a beautiful and fitting tribute for your cousin.
